Editorial Policy

Accuracy

Every statistic published on The Martial Archive is computed from contests in our internal database at the time the page was last generated. If a number on a page disagrees with the underlying contest list, the contest list is considered authoritative and the page is regenerated.

Sources

We publish only what we can trace to a recorded contest. We do not rely on secondary commentary, social media, or predictive models. Where a piece of context is editorially inferred (for example, labelling an athlete “elite” based on their quartile), the label is clearly presented as a computed classification, not an assertion about the athlete.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error on any page — a wrong country, a misspelled name, a contest attributed to the wrong round, a stat that disagrees with what you know to be in the record — please contact us and we will investigate. Confirmed errors are corrected at the source (the underlying contest record), after which the affected pages are regenerated. Corrected pages show the new “last updated” date.

Neutrality

We do not champion, criticize, or handicap individual athletes, coaches, clubs, federations, or nations. Every athlete and country listed on the site is included on the same terms and receives the same template — there are no curated feature pages and no editorial promotion.

Changes

When we add a new metric, change the definition of an existing one, or revise the structure of an entity page, we note it on the Methodology page so the change is visible to readers.
